Song Mansion aims to create a space that captures the client’s deep understanding of Chinese philosophy and aesthetics, and embodies the characteristics of the Song Dynasty, a period that was comparatively less decorative than of other dynasties. Elegant and understated, to the point of being “modern” for that era, it underlined the concept that art is made of powerful ideas and concepts as opposed to artistic crafts that are beautiful, decorative but meaningless.
