The revitalisation of Siu Hei Court Playground is a reminder of the untapped potential of rooftop space in high-rise cities like Hong Kong. The architect has transformed a dated sports ground into an amazing play space for people of all ages, including sports courts, a running track, an area for unstructured play, spectator seating and interactive wall art, some co-created with nearby kindergartens. There’s even a car tire installation, reminiscent of Hong Kong playgrounds of old.
