Customers entering the Holiland Concept store in Shanghai could be forgiven for thinking they are walking into an industrial lab rather than a bakery! The futuristic design displays the bakery’s desserts within an elegant, sophisticated aesthetic that references industrial processes. DAS Design studio says the retail interior seeks to be an expression of the core brand and engage customers in a fresh new way. The main materials, aluminium and stainless steel, were selected to visually recede and allow the products to be displayed like precise industrial objects.
