    Andrei Martin

    Andrei Martin is a partner at PLP Architecture with over 20 years’ experience of residential, commercial, and master planning projects in the UK, Europe, USA, China, and the Middle East. He is a co-founder of PLP Labs – a design research platform that operates at the intersection of people, technology, and the planet.

    Andrei is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Westminster and a European Living Concepts Council Member at the Urban Land Institute. He is the editor of Another Kind: A Survey of the Possible City (Actar, 2021) and has published, lectured, and exhibited internationally.

    As a designer, researcher and educator, Andrei is interested in the potential of the built environment to transform human experience and reshape contemporary culture.

    Andrei’s experience includes a wide range of program types and project scales. He is particularly interested in hyper-mixed smart buildings – hybrid typologies that redefine the architecture of contemporary living and working.

    Arnold Wong

    Prior to co-founding ARTA Architects in 2021, Arnold was trained at renowned architectural firms including SANAA (Tokyo & Paris), UNStudio (Amsterdam, Hong Kong & Shanghai) and Aedas (Hong Kong), where he worked as lead designer for architectural projects including theatres, museums, hotels and shopping malls.

    Arnold has also received numerous design awards, including being a winner of the prestigious “Hong Kong Institute of Architects Young Architect Award”, the PERSPECTIVE 40 Under 40 Award and the DFA Awards Hong Kong Young Design Talents. He was also a recipient of The Wharf ArchDesign Resource Trust.

    He has also been actively promoting the design and architectural industry to the public. His works are exhibited internationally and locally such as the HKIA Urbanism and Architecture Exhibitions for Excellence, the Venice Architecture Biennale 2021, DeTour 2020 and UABB 2019.

    Apart from his daily design routine at ARTA, Arnold served as an Assistant Lecturer teaching Master of Architecture design studio at the University of Hong Kong.

    Barrie Ho

    Barrie Ho obtained his Master of Architecture with distinction in 1996 from The University of Hong Kong.

    He has won over 160 major international design awards from USA, UK, Dubai and the Asia Pacific region.

    In 2011, he was awarded the Order of the Medal of Honour by the Hong Kong SAR Government.

    Ho serves as a member of the Hong Kong Housing Authority and, is a member of the Hong Kong Design Institute Advisory Board under the Vocational Training Council’s Institute of Vocational Education.

    Barry Wilson

    Barry is an urban planning specialist who has consulted on hundreds of development projects across four continents, with a focus on Hong Kong and mainland China, for nearly 30 years.

    An experienced landscape architect, Barry splits his time between industry roles including the presidency of the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design, academic endeavours at the University of Hong Kong and his own firm Barry Wilson Project Initiatives.

    He sits on various government advisory committees and in 2012 was recognised for his contribution to China’s urbanisation transformation. In 2019, he won the Reed & Mallik Medal from the Institution of Civil Engineers in UK.

    He is also the author of “Futureproof City: Ten Immediate Paths to Urban Resilience” published in 2021.

    Corrin Chan

    Corrin is a Director of AOS.Architecture, a registered architect in Hong Kong, a Fellow of the HK Institute of Architects (HKIA) and a Member of the HK Institute of Urban Design (HKIUD).

    Corrin is now serving as a Council Member of the HK Institute of Architects and held positions as Vice-President, Honorary Treasurer of HKIA and Chairperson of the Hong Kong Architecture Centre.

    Corrin received her Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University in New York and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with Distinction from the University of Hong Kong.

    Corrin is Co-Director of the UIA Architecture, Cities, and Territories Work Program and serves as Chair of the HKIA Media & Communication Committee.

    Corrin has gained experience working in New York, Hawaii, and Hong Kong. She has been involved in architectural design education at universities, curated exhibitions, book publications, and participated in art installations and interdisciplinary projects.

    Danny Ng

    Native Hong Kong designer Danny Ng co-founded 4N Design Architects, an award-winning multi-disciplinary design studio determined to create a better living environment for human beings.

    During his days at the Architecture School of University of Melbourne, he was inspired by many influential architects, including Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and Tadao Ando. Ng worked in several acclaimed A&D firms before starting his own design practice.

    Ng’s practice involves Building Design, Revitalization Projects, Cinema Design, Restaurant & Private Clubhouses, Retail Malls and Commercial Interiors. Ng’s design approach is led by intensive research and a deep understanding of the clients’ brief, with attention to practical functions and fine details, seeking top craftsman and premium quality without compromise.

    Dennis Ho

    Dennis Ho is a Director and East Asia Design Lead at Arup. He also leads Arup’s Urban Innovation Unit. Prior to Arup, Dennis was a Principal at HASSELL and an Associate Partner at Richard Rogers Partnership.

    He is a UK chartered architect, an urban designer, and a city strategist with global experience on complex projects, focusing on innovative urban solutions and sustainable placemaking. Dennis is Chair of the Royal Institute of British Architects Hong Kong Chapter, Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design, Taskforce member of the Hong Kong Harbourfront Commission, and a ULI mentor.

    He is a regular speaker in international forums and an external reviewer in major universities in the region. He is a founder of HUBs, a forum that encourages discourses on high density urban habitats. His recent net-zero tower concept ‘Taikoo Green Ribbon’ has received multiple international awards and was exhibited at the Venice Biennale Architettura 2023.

    Emma Maclean

    Emma is an acclaimed Hong Kong-based interior designer who specializes in commercial, hospitality, office, and select residential projects in Asia Pacific.

    With a family background in design, her passion for the craft began at a young age. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture from Sydney, Emma worked for renowned firms such as BLD, Steve Leung Designers, and Hirsch Bedner Associates.

    In 2017, Emma joined the ranks of PERSPECTIVE’s 40 Under 40 Award winners. The following year, she launched EM Bespoke, her own interior design practice and continued to work on luxury hospitality projects with clients such as Hongkong Land, Sino Group, and globally recognized hotel brands like The Fullerton Hotel Ocean Park Hong Kong, Four Seasons Macau and Conrad Hong Kong.

    Having rebranded her studio as Emma Maclean & Company (EM&C), Emma prides herself on creating tailored, luxurious interiors by fostering close relationships with clients to reflect their unique vision, needs, and preferences.

    Florence Chan

    An architect by training, Florence joined the New York-based architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates PC in 2007, before relocating to their Hong Kong in 2008. Since then she has been involved in a series of mixed-use projects, with a special interest on super tall buildings in Asia. Her completed works include Victoria Dockside in Hong Kong, Ping An Finance Center in Shenzhen, as well as CTF Center in Guangzhou.

    A licensed architect in both the US and Hong Kong, Chan holds a Master in Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Social Science in Architectural Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In addition to practicing architecture, Chan teaches architectural design at her the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a Board member on the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) Hong Kong.

    James Law
