From boundary-pushing global showcases to rising local talent, Design Mumbai 2025 is set to be a landmark celebration of contemporary design on the world stage
Design Mumbai, India’s most anticipated international design show, returns to Jio World Garden for its second edition, running from 26 – 29 November 2025. This year’s exhibition promises an extraordinary range and calibre of participating brands, guest speakers, and exclusive design features, uniting international visionaries with India’s most exciting talent.
Design Mumbai’s ongoing partnership with THE Park Hotels comes to life this November with an exclusive design feature by award-winning Spanish designer, Lucas Muñoz Muñoz. Known for his experimental, edgy approach, Muñoz will design THE Park Hotels Café on site, using repurposed materials from the hotel group’s refurbishment projects. His site-specific design explores the fleeting nature of the materials while reimagining their second life – a theme that resonates with his past collaborations with Polestar Gallery and On, the Swiss performance sportswear company.
For the first time, the Australian Institute of Architects will bring its annual conference to Mumbai, coinciding with the show and reinforcing Design Mumbai’s global reach. Delegates will also take part in Design Mumbai Exchange, the show’s acclaimed talks programme. The full line up for Design Mumbai Exchange will be revealed this autumn, with speakers ranging from major architects to design tastemakers.

Nurturing the next generation of talent is central to Design Mumbai’s ethos. Design school, Istituto Marangoni, returns to the show with a showcase of five alumni, while an Emerging Designers Pavilion will be staged for the first time, designed by leading Mumbai-based interior stylist Jasmine Jhaveri to spotlight a curation of rising stars. Studio Abrash, Wannas Design Atelier, Studio Klay, and Trnkts3D are amongst the eight brands and designers that will be represented at Jhaveri’s pavilion.

Mirai collection by Natuzzi, String System by String
Furniture will continue to take centre stage at Design Mumbai’s second edition:
- – Making its Design Mumbai debut, Natuzzi will present Mirai, a sofa collection by Andrea Steidl inspired by the 13th-century Federician architecture of Puglia. Its sculptural wooden structure, paired with inward-sloping armrests and backrests, references the archetypal castles of Frederick II while offering contemporary comfort.
- – Look out for the Swedish influence at the show this year: Globally renowned Swedish brands including String, will celebrate its iconic String System, first launched in 1949 by architects Kajsa and Nisse Strinning, a modular classic that remains as adaptable and elegant today as it was over 70 years ago. Fellow Swedish brand Blå Station will also join the line-up.
- – From India, Sabbi, presented by Surface and Design, joins Design Mumbai for the first time to introduce stainable micro-concrete furniture inspired by wabi-sabi philosophy, including its Shelter Bookshelf.
- – Also debuting at Design Mumbai is Racconti, a high-end furniture company that merges India’s rich artisanal heritage with Italy’s design mastery. At the show, Racconti will showcase the Eterno collection, created by a group of five renowned Italian designers: Luca Erba, Luca Tornaghi, Andrea Bonini, Michela Oliva and Adriano Castiglioni.
- -Lila, the Bangalore-based children’s homeware specialist, returns with its adaptable Morph bed, designed to grow with the child, as well as signature pieces for the nursery.

Decorative interiors brands and textile studios will also come to the fore:
- – FAZO Project returns with contemporary rugs crafted using age-old weaving techniques, while Venjara Carpets, a heritage brand, makes its debut at the show with sustainable PET rugs woven in Bhadohi, India’s capital of carpet weaving.
- – New to the show, Threadarte, founded by Gunjan Arora and Rahul Jain, brings its experimental textiles made from waste materials, transformed into architectural installations and tactile surfaces.
- – Shaman Ideas, led by founder Sharmila Mangwani, reimagines geometric forms as dynamic three-dimensional sculptures that explore continuity, balance and presence.
Design Mumbai 2025 will once again be a vibrant meeting point for international innovation and conversation in the context of India’s capital of culture and design. Connecting voices across hospitality, retail, workplace, and residential, Design Mumbai 2025 boasts an expanded line-up, high-profile collaborations, and a showcase of big brand energy and new designers making waves. This November’s edition is set to make a powerful mark on the global design calendar.
