Inspiration aplenty in last year's winning submissions
From a zen-like residential clubhouse inspired by the traditional Chinese courtyard design to an inspiring community-driven initiative to convert plastic waste into public benches – the range and quality of projects submitted for A&D Awards 2021 were truly remarkable. Sixty-six of the almost 300 submissions earned Gold, Silver or Bronze Awards, as voted by our international panel of judges.
Yishe at Atrium House, one of several submissions to garner two Gold Awards, impressed the judges with its exquisite combination of modern styling with Chinese heritage, drawn from the traditional village houses in Yuen Long. Others included DAS Design, which created a bakery in Shanghai that could be mistaken for an ultra-cool industrial lab! And COLOURLIVING which showcased a timeless and elegant mobile chandelier.
