With a solid foundation as a RIBA Chartered Architect and an extensive background across Germany and China, I co-founded EINStudio in Shanghai, where I currently serve as the founding partner and lead architect. Throughout my career, I have actively engaged in a variety of architectural projects, ranging from commercial spaces and office designs to community centers and exhibition halls. I have also achieved success by winning several high-profile competitions, and my works stand out due to its focus on originality and a deep understanding of the intricate relationship between space, society, and culture. I firmly believe in the transformative power of design, embracing new technologies to push the boundaries of what is possible in the field of architecture.
Central to my design philosophy is the concept of ""uniqueness."" I believe that every architectural endeavor should be a distinctive response to its surroundings, reflecting the essence of the community it serves. Each project, instead of conforming to trends, seeks to stand out by embracing creative solutions tailored to specific needs. This commitment to uniqueness not only defies architectural homogeneity but also embraces the rich interrelationships of human experiences within built environments. And therefore, I believe that architectural design should be ethical and deeply rooted in integrity, reflecting a deep respect for the environment and the communities they serve. Architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture should not be viewed as separate entities but as interconnected facets of a unified whole. I insist that a successful architectural project is one where these components coalesce into a holistic, immersive experience. This integration not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also fosters functionality and sustainability, ensuring that spaces are not only visually appealing but also purposeful and enduring in terms of social and environmental impact.
