Design Philosophy:
“My designs blend artistic vision with commercial sensibility, shaped by my diverse background. I craft spaces that respect local culture and connect deeply with their context to inspire and endure.”
Coming from an international background, I built my foundation in architecture design in Japan. I was deeply influenced by the idea that buildings should harmonize with nature and their surroundings. I focused on building types and materials. I was also inspired by the craftsmanship details in Japanese architecture, so I design buildings at a furniture scale. I care about the small details that people can see and touch directly.
After returning to Hong Kong, I worked at a leading retail design firm. I led the design of several large-scale mixed-use projects, all of which became city landmarks. While working on these, I kept reminding myself what matters in architecture: not how striking it looks, but its meaning to the people who use it.
All my past experiences shaped my later venture, Immersive Experience Lab. “Only experience defines space” is the core of my studio. Architecture should not just be an icon but a space that interacts with people and creates special memories for visitors. My recent focus extends beyond architecture to placemaking, installations, and interior design. Years on international projects gave me strong skills in design execution, helping me bring new creations in Hong Kong to a level of craft and detail that truly stands out.
With over a decade of leading landmark retail and mixed-use projects across Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and Japan, I’ve guided diverse teams and clients to create culturally rooted, commercially vibrant spaces that resonate and endure. At Immersive Experience Lab, I blend global insight with meticulous execution, earning quiet respect in the industry. I’m honored to be considered and eager to inspire the next generation.
