Design Philosophy:

My design philosophy is rooted in the belief that architecture is a form of ""Narrative Place-Making."" I transform abstract stories—a client’s brand identity, the drama of cinema, or the elegance of cultural heritage—into tangible, spatial experiences. This is not mere aesthetics; it is a rigorous process of research, material innovation, and contextual dialogue.

My work demonstrates that commercial architecture need not be generic. For Crystal Tower, I wove the narrative of fabric into a high-rise’s very skin, enhancing the urban realm in the process. With Movie Town Cinema, I orchestrated a theatrical experience, creating a new civic landmark. Furthermore, I believe in architecture’s social contract. My pro-bono work for Cha Duk Chang proves that culturally rich, poetic spaces can be created for non-profits, using digital design and local craftsmanship to preserve intangible heritage.

Beyond practice, I am committed to nurturing the next generation. As a Visiting Tutor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, I lead workshops on Rhino and Grasshopper, demystifying parametric design to unlock new creative possibilities for students. Serving as a Guest Design Critic, I engage in the critical dialogue of the studio, sharing practical insights from the field to bridge the gap between academia and professional practice.

I deserve to be among the 40 under 40 winners for my holistic contribution to architecture. I not only deliver award-winning, narrative-driven projects but also actively reinvest this expertise back into the educational sector, shaping the future of our profession while building a more meaningful and culturally resonant built environment.
