Design Philosophy:
40-under-40 winners represented up-and-coming talents who take lead the A&D industry to strive for excellence with passion. My design philosophy is Architecture captures the history, culture and technology of the society. As a strong proponent of technology, I believe evolution of architecture and design can change our world.
Early in 2010s, I started my BIM-driven architectural and design firm “APU” as a BIM pioneer. Walking away from big companies allows me enterprise autonomy to fully adopt and promote latest BIM technology in A&D industry (including being a certified BIM training centre and software distributor). Our BIM award-winning team and projects are successfully recognized by professional organizations. I also spare no efforts in R&D on new technology such as digitalization and facility management.
In this ever-changing world of technology, one key-to-success is to equip ourselves with latest technology. DfMA such as Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) plays an important role in new design development. I am strongly devoted to introducing and encouraging clients and consultant teams to adopt DfMA in our design. “Design, Build and Operate- first stage of Tseung Kwan O Desalination Plant” is a successful example.
Apart from advanced technologies, I also provide full design services to clients, which not only included architectural and interior design, but also brand building services for showcasing their core values. This is proven to be very successfully in retail clients such as listed medical group and salon group.
My passion in architecture also leads me to community services to professional bodies and general public. Being board members and assessment panels of professional bodies allow me to contribute to the development of the industry. I also consider education and contribution to general public essential and I led my company to commit to different social services such as radio broadcasts, little architect program, voluntary work, etc.
