A&D Awards

Since humble beginnings 20 years ago, the A&D Awards have encouraged and recognised excellence in architecture, interior design and product design in the Greater China region and beyond.

First launched as the A&D Trophy Awards in 2004, they have progressively grown in stature with the support of the leading practices and industry associations across the region. In 2018, the A&D China Awards were established as a separate competition to encourage increased participation from the mainland.

Two years later, the newly rebranded A&D Awards brought the Trophy Awards and China Awards together under the one banner. Categories were streamlined to better reflect the industry’s needs and a more rigorous two-tier judging system was introduced.

40 Under 40 Awards

As the name suggests, the 40 Under 40 Awards recognise 40 of the most talented young professionals in the fields of art, architecture, interior design and product design.

Launched in 2006, the Awards have celebrated the career ascension of some of the most notable architects and designers operating today. Past awardees include the likes of André Fu, Barrie Ho, Ma Yansong, Aric Chen, Joyce Wang, Bryant Lu and Bjarke Ingels, to name just a few of the celebrated alumni.

From hard copy to digital

At the end of 2019, Asian Integrated Media, the owner of the A&D Awards and the associated magazine Perspective, decided to create a new digital platform perspectiveglobal.com to house both the awards and editorial content about the world of architecture and interior design. It is now a popular and convenient portal for the industry to catch up on all the latest projects and developments in Greater China and beyond.

It is supplemented by A&D Awards social media channels on Facebook and Instagram.
