Nonetheless, he as a judge of Chinese Design Elite 2018–2019, to give advises and motivation to candidates, and to elevate young design talents in China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Architecture to me is not just about a building. It’s a shelter with soul and comes with a mission to influence the surrounding community. We are very often putting too much focus on the “function” and “style” when it comes to designing a building, but in fact it’s more important to think how to inject soul and sophistication into the architecture, make it alive and use it to influence the community, i.e. to improve their livings. Drive, passion and tenacity are words that best describe Wesley, who constantly and curiously seeks to move forward.
