Design Philosophy:

From Assistant Designer to Senior Project Designer at HBA in under 4 years, to Creative Director at Indigo Living and also Co-Founder of Wolter+Yu - my career path has been meteoric. In 18 months, our small and burgeoning studio has won 10 awards, including the iF Awards, IDA, SBID, Muse, Spark, APIDA, Kohler Bold Design Awards and the A&D, for the urban aquaponics farm project “Full Nature”. I won awards at the IDA and SBID for the Shek O Country Club whilst at HBA, helped establish the design DNA for Rosewood’s new hotel brand Khos in 2017, and was instrumental in the design of Grand Lisboa Palace Resort and its F&B destinations. Other key projects I have lead over the years include work for InterContinental Hotels Group, Ovolo Southside, and prestigious private members clubs like American Club. Originally specialising in FF&E, I am now involved in all aspects of design, including concept, strategy, and space planning. At Wolter+Yu, I continue to deliver distinctive designs with my team, while as Creative Director of Indigo Living, I continue to develop and define the brand’s identity, and curate the furniture and accessories offerings each season. My early career in PR for high-end fashion and retail has shaped my sensitivities and style when designing spaces - with a predication towards textiles, patterns and colour. My passion for materiality influenced by my time studying history of art and design in France, ultimately resulted in my personal design philosophy and curated layering aesthetic – using materials to bring elements of culture or heritage in ways that are current and forward-thinking, giving each project a unique flair. Winning the 40 under 40 would be a huge honour, recognition for my work, and increase visibility for myself and our studio.
