Design Philosophy:
My journey as a designer is defined by a commitment to authenticity and a relentless pursuit of excellence. After graduating from Columbia University, I began my career as an architect in New York City, quickly realizing that the coldness of skyscrapers did not resonate with my passion. Instead, I found my true calling in hospitality design, where the nuances create genuine emotional connections.
Determined to shift my focus, I transitioned from architecture to interior design, recognizing Asia as a promising market for hospitality in the coming decades. This led me to leave New York for Hong Kong, where I immersed myself in the industry. My work with AB Concept allowed me to elevate my design skills significantly. Leading teams on ultra-luxury projects for renowned brands like Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton, as well as designing exquisite private residences, confirmed that hospitality is where my passion lies.
Through these experiences, I have come to understand that true luxury is not merely about financial expenditure; it lies in the experiences and interactions that spaces evoke. This philosophy aligns with our company’s ethos at AB Concept: ""about being.""
Reflecting on my journey from a 20-year-old student to a seasoned designer in my 30s, I have always set clear goals for each stage of my career. My fervor for design has been the driving force behind my achievements, and I remain dedicated to creating not just beautiful spaces but meaningful experiences.
