Design Philosophy:
Over the past 16 years in the design industry, I’ve considered myself fortunate to work alongside many insightful and inspiring individuals, including Giovanna Castiglioni from the Achille Castiglioni Museum, Ross Milne from 10 Design and Dr Ruffina Thilakaratne from RIBA. These figures have profoundly influenced my perspective on design and communication through design, shaping my own legacy that I believe is worth passing on to the next generation.
Legacy and hesitance are two pivotal concepts in my career. I believe these qualities distinguish us as humans; we are the only beings with a sense of history and the ability to reflect on our choices. This philosophy is reflected in my project ""Conrad Hong Kong,"" where we study the past, respect its significance, evolve, and carry on.
I am committed to nurturing the next generation of designers. Starting as a guest lecturer, I’m increasingly taking on a serious teaching role, regardless of how busy I become with my business. As a 40 Under 40 Award winner, I promise to leverage my influence and recognition in the industry to actively promote the transmission of design knowledge and wisdom to future designers.
