Design Philosophy:
For me, design transcends mere taste; it embodies a deeper understanding of aesthetics and our innate ability to judge how to thoughtfully arrange the objects and elements that shape our environment. Our passion for design has garnered recognition in various prestigious competitions, including the Paris Design Awards, US International Design Awards, the US International Space Design Award, the Korean K-Design Award, Architecture Masterprize, the Hong Kong A&D Trophy Award, and the Taiwan TINTA Award, among others. Zinc Studio also won the Kyoto Global Design Awards in 2024, being one of the Best 100 interior design studios. Our work has also been featured in numerous influential magazines and newspapers, highlighting our commitment to excellence in the field. Zinc Studio actively engages with the public and media outlets to create a resonant impact in the design community.
In a spirit of giving back, I have also taken on the role of educator, teaching at the Correctional Services Department of Hong Kong(2015-2019), and Hong Kong Interior Design and Architecture Institute(2015-2022). I am also an active external examiner in Hong Kong Design Institute. I find immense fulfillment in sharing my knowledge and passion for design with the next generation of creators.
Zinc Studio’s aesthetic and design philosophy are rooted in the unique character of both the user and the space itself. For each project, we strive to express our clients’ individuality and aesthetic sensibilities through innovative and unconventional interior elements. Starting from humble beginnings, Zinc Studio has continually evolved, reaching an ever-expanding audience.
I believe that my 40 Under 40 Award will further reaffirm our studio’s conviction that design holds the power to create value for people and elevate the quality of living in a meaningful way. Through our work, we aspire to inspire others, transforming spaces into places that enhance well-being and enrich lives.
