Design Philosophy:
As a landscape architect, I see design as a bridge between ecology, culture, and human experience. It is a medium that shapes not only the spaces we live in but also the way we perceive and engage with our environment. My philosophy is grounded in the belief that every landscape holds the potential to restore balance between people, nature, and the identity of the place.
My design journey began in the vibrant heart of Bangkok, where I learned to see the world through the lenses of tropical ecology and rich cultural exchange. This foundation became my compass when I moved to Hong Kong, guiding my work on projects across China, Dhaka, Egypt, India, Vietnam and Middle East. From nature reserve sites in Nepal to the dense urban fabric of Vietnam, I’ve learned to translate diverse needs into resonant landscapes. Engaging with both developing and rapidly urbanizing contexts has taught me to adapt to diverse environments and to design landscapes that elevate everyday life, fostering connection, dignity, and well-being through space.
Working with One Landscape Design Limited for over a decade has deeply shaped my approach. The studio’s philosophy of “land-culture” — drawing inspiration from the texture and heritage of each site — aligns closely with my own belief that design must interpret, not impose. Each project begins with uncovering a narrative that celebrates context and translates it into a contemporary and innovative spatial experience.
My work focuses on crafting landscapes that are both resilient and inspiring — places that respond to climate, community, and culture while embracing innovation as a catalyst for connection and sustainability. Through design, I seek to cultivate coexistence: between nature and infrastructure, solitude and gathering, built form and open space.
Being part of the 40 Under 40 would be an opportunity to share this vision with a broader design community and to continue shaping landscapes that integrate ecology, culture, and creativity — nurturing both people and the environment. I hope to represent a new generation of landscape architects who advocate for climate-conscious, community-driven, and innovative design across Asia, and who see every project — no matter its scale — as a chance to reconnect people with the living systems that sustain us.
