Design Philosophy:

My core belief is architecture has the transformative power to shape how we live. Across stations, airports, streetscapes, hotels, and mixed-use developments, my consistent philosophy is clarity as civic form—unifying uses, context, and movement into coherent spaces that provide generous, intuitive, human-centric experiences.

Working across Hong Kong, China, UK and Middle East has taught me that architecture is a shared language: it must be visually, emotionally inspiring while upholding social and environmental responsibilities. It serves as statement about potentials of future living.

My education at Architectural Association trained me to critically appraise and artistically craft systems into purposeful forms. Professionally, leading projects in prominent international practices gave me versatility across sectors and transferable skills with consistent spatial language and character.

From new buildings to heritage revamps, I pursue contextual sensitivity and concise solutions through rigorous interdisciplinary collaboration. Constraints sharpen intent and creativity—essential for complex projects like Tuen Ma Line Station, Hong Kong International Airport VIP Lounge, Triptych Bankside and 47–69 Nottinghill Gate in London. My values are affirmed by the public realm achieved, which revitalized derelict, isolated districts into vibrant, contemporary urban environments.

Comfort is public, not luxury. The care invested in commercial and hospitality—intricate thresholds, curated movements and tactile materials—should extend to community buildings and infrastructure. Designing with resilient materials defines civic dignity. Natural elements like light and acoustics are conceived as social drivers. This is evident in my recent work, drawing on experience and knowledge from the UK.

This award honors designers who elevate the discipline while serving the public realm. I stand for architecture that is well crafted and kind—quiet in character, precise in intent, and shaped by empathy for how people live and work. That is the culture I practice and the future I hope to advance across the region.
