Design Philosophy:
Wen Jun believes that architecture reaches its fullest potential when it bridges technology and empathy—when innovation enhances rather than replaces the human experience. His work is driven by a deep curiosity about how emerging technologies such as robotics, computation and advanced material systems can reshape the way we design and build. To Wen Jun, design is a process of continual questioning and experimentation, grounded in precision, informed by research and guided by a desire to create systems that adapt intelligently to people and place.
In practice, he strives to transform these ideas into meaningful and tangible outcomes. At One Punggol, he led the design development of the Regional Library and Community Centre, a complex multi-stakeholder project that redefines civic architecture through inclusivity, accessibility and technological integration. Projects such as the net-zero Greenhouse at Dulwich College exemplify his belief that sustainability should not be an afterthought, but a seamless fusion of performance, design intent and human experience. His approach consistently seeks to align environmental responsibility with spatial and social relevance.
Beyond project work, Wen Jun contributes to DP Architects’ computational design and education research groups, exploring how digital tools can reimagine learning environments and empower design innovation. He is a regular guest critic at the Department of Architecture, National University of Singapore, where he engages in student design reviews and academic discourse, exchanging ideas that bridge academia and practice.
Wen Jun strives to advance architecture as a discipline that unites creativity with precision and harmonises technology with humanity. In an age of rapid technological transformation, he aspires to be part of a generation redefining design methodologies and mindsets—one that is regenerative, purposeful and forward-looking.
