Upon graduation from Master of Architecture, Arnold won the DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award and the architectural internship sponsored by The Wharf ArchDesign Resource Trust. Afterwards, he worked at renowned architectural firms including SANAA (Tokyo & Paris), UNStudio (Amsterdam & Hong Kong), and Aedas, where he was lead design and project architect for multiple projects in Asia and Europe, from theatre, museum, to hotel and shopping mall. In 2020, at the age of 30, Arnold Wong became one of the youngest winners of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Young Architect Award. Over the years, his passion in professional and community design has earned him numerous project commissions, both from public and commercial bodies. Cognizant of the impact of human activities on the environment, Arnold is also keen to explore the potential of recycled materials for building purposes. His exhibit of recycled glass bottles at the Hong Kong Biennale of Urbanism & Architecture 2019, evolving into the development of Recycled Glass Bricks, subsequently exhibited at deTour 2020 in Hong Kong. Collaboration is underway with a real estate developer, and a large scale art installation is expected to complete by end of 2021. In 2021, Arnold co-founded ARTA Architects, an award-winning design studio that believes through their work in the different design disciplines of architecture, interior, art installations and social design, they continually learn from and are inspired by each field in their ongoing quest to evolve and expand their creative minds. Looking ahead, ARTA has been signed on as design architect for four luxury villas to be built on two unique sea view plots of over 1800m2. Other upcoming projects include a number of interior design assignments as well as art installations in the public realm, projecting a healthy business outlook for a young practice.
